SEOUL, Republic of Korea-Korea Grandparent Breeders (KGB) welcomed clients to a seminar in Seoul on May 28, where experts from Aviagen® shared the latest advancements in poultry breeding and management to help optimize flock performance.
The seminar focused on the ongoing genetic progress behind the Arbor Acres® Plus Fast Feathering (FF) bird, which KGB supplies to the Korean market. Presentations highlighted Aviagen's commitment to delivering balanced genetic improvement at both the breeder and broiler levels, while reinforcing practical management strategies to help breeder managers maximize their flocks' potential.
The event was hosted by Mr. Kim Gangheung, President of Korea Grandparent Breeders, and featured presentations by Greg Hitt, head of technical operations for Aviagen Asia,along withmembers of the Aviagen support team who work closely with KGB. This team provides ongoing service both at the Grandparent level and to KGB’s downstream clients throughout Korea. They were joined by Yash Jaiswal, commercial manager for Aviagen Asia.
Hitt discussed Aviagen's long-term breeding strategy, emphasizing the company's continued investment in balanced genetic selection to improve productivity, efficiency, robustness, and bird welfare.

The team shared practical management recommendations for Arbor Acres Plus Fast Feathering breeders, covering key areas such as flock management, nutrition, lighting, bodyweight control, and production practices that improveproduction persistency and fertility.
