ময়মনসিংহকে বলা হয় মৎস্য চাষের প্রাণ কেন্দ্র। গত ০২ মে ময়মনসিংহে অবস্থানরত ফিসারিজ গ্র্যাজুয়েটদের উদ্দ্যোগে ময়মনসিংহ জেলার ত্রিশাল উপজেলার বইলর সংলগ্ন ড্রিম ভিলেজ পার্কে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়ে গেল বনভোজন-২০২৫। উক্ত বনভোজনে ৯০ জনের অধিক ফিসারিজ গ্র্যাজুয়েট, যারা ময়মনসিংহ অঞ্চলের বিভিন্ন মৎস্য খাদ্য ও ঔষধ কোম্পানিতে কর্মরত আছেন। মৎস্য গ্র্যাজুয়েটগণ প্রতিনিয়ত ময়মনসিংহ তথা দেশের মৎস্য খাতের উন্নয়নে বিশেষ অবদান রেখে যাচ্ছেন।

কৃষির উন্নতি হয়েছে সত্যি, কিন্তু একই সাথে আমরা গোখাদ্য নষ্ট করেছি। গরুর, তথা প্রাণিকূলের নিজের খাবারের পছন্দ-অপছন্দ আছে। খামারিদের অভিব্যক্তির সাথে একাত্মতা প্রকাশ করে আমি বলতে চাই গোখাদ্য কখনও বাণিজ্যিক কোম্পানিগুলোর মুনাফার জায়গা হতে পারে না। সেই জায়গা থেকে বিএলআরআই যে নেপিয়ার নিয়ে, ঘাসভিত্তিক খাদ্য ব্যবস্থাপনা নিয়ে কাজ করছে তা অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। পাশাপাশি আমাদের মাথায় রাখতে হবে, ঘাস উৎপাদনের জায়গা পর্যাপ্ত নয়। তাই আমাদের যথাযথ পরিকল্পনা গ্রহণ করতে হবে।
